Danny Murphy sends message to Liverpool fans about summer transfers
The former Liverpool midfielder is relaxed about the lack of summer transfers at Anfield so far

Danny Murphy has urged Liverpool supporters not to panic despite a lack of summer transfer signings.
The Reds have naturally been linked with a host of players in the current window but Liverpool have only managed to recruit two new players so far.
Jurgen Klopp broke the club’s transfer record to sign Egypt international Mohamed Salah in a £36.7m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma earlier this month.
Liverpool confirmed a deal to sign England Under-20 international Dominic Solanke from Premier League champions Chelsea in a free transfer on Monday afternoon.
However, Klopp has been left frustrated in pursuit of Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk and RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita.
Speaking to Sky Sports News HQ about Liverpool’s summer transfer activity so far, former Reds midfielder Murphy reassured the club’s supporters that there is still plenty of time to get deals over the line.
“You can’t rush these things. You know as well as I know there are domino effects with transfers,” Murphy said.
“It will start. Unfortunately because of the way the window is set up, which is nonsensical as far as I am concerned, you know things now will happen mid to late August.
“So there is plenty of time. I wouldn’t be worrying if I was a Liverpool fan.”
Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season.
The Reds signed seven players in the summer transfer window last year.
