Steve Nicol’s one-word response when asked whether Liverpool will sign exciting 18-year-old striker
The former Liverpool defender is optimistic Jurgen Klopp will sign Kylian Mbappe this summer...

Steve Nicol is still holding out hope that Kylian Mbappe will move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.
The France international has emerged as one of the most-exciting prospects this summer following his outstanding performances in Ligue 1 and the Champions League over the past season.
Mbappe scored 15 goals and made eight assists in 29 appearances in Ligue 1 last term to help Monaco wrestle the French title from cash-rich Paris Saint-Germain.
The 18-year-old netted six times in nine appearances in the Champions League despite his inexperience to help Monaco reach the semi-finals before losing 4-2 to Serie A giants Juventus.
Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Premier League champions Chelsea and FA Cup holders Arsenal in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool have been something of a surprise contender to sign Mbappe ahead of the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
Asked during an interview with ESPN FC about what club could sign Mbappe in the summer, Nicol replied: “Liverpool.”
Liverpool secured a return to the Champions League next term.
The Reds have never won the Premier League title but the Merseyside outfit finished in second place in 2002, 2009 and 2014.
