Liverpool have joined the race to sign Kylian Mbappe from Monaco this summer, according to reports in the British media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Reds have made contact with the teenager’s agent as Jurgen Klopp steps up his interest in signing the teenager.
The same report claims that Mbappe will command a transfer fee of at least £100m should he leave Monaco in the summer transfer window.
Liverpool are reported to have kept tabs on Mbappe over the last 12 months and have contacted the player’s agent to sound out a possible move.
The story also claims that Arsenal, Manchester United and a “host” of other clubs have all shown an interest in signing the 18-year-old starlet this summer.
Liverpool are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings this summer as Klopp prepares his team for a return to the Champions League next season.
The Reds finished fourth in the Premier League in Klopp’s first full season in charge at Anfield.
