Jordan Henderson sends message to Liverpool fans about Philippe Coutinho
The Liverpool captain is unsure whether he can convince Philippe Coutinho to remain at Anfield beyond the summer transfer window

Jordan Henderson has played down the chances of the Liverpool captain being able to convince Philippe Coutinho to stay at the Merseyside club.
The Reds are fending off competition from La Liga giants Barcelona in their prized asset with transfer deadline day looming on the horizon.
The Merseyside outfit have already rejected at least one offer for the South American midfielder and have placed a £136m price tag on their number 10.
Coutinho is currently sidelined with a back injury and the Brazil star missed Liverpool’s 3-3 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.
The 25-year-old wasn’t named in Liverpool’s squad for their first leg of their Champions League playoff clash against Bundesliga outfit Hoffenheim on Tuesday night.
Speaking ahead of the European tie, Liverpool captain Henderson admitted that he would struggle to change Coutinho’s mind despite his intention to talk to the Brazil international.
“It’s a difficult situation for Phil and whatever I say won’t help matters… but we want Phil to stay because he’s a world-class player,” Henderson said at his pre-match media conference.
Coutinho moved to Liverpool in an £8.5m deal from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the 2013 January transfer window.
The 25-year-old scored 13 goals and made seven assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League last season.
The Brazil star was a key part of the Liverpool side as Jurgen Klopp led the Reds back into the Champions League.
