Liverpool set to sell these three players this summer – report
Liverpool are hoping to offload three players in the summer transfer window to free up funds for Jurgen Klopp
Liverpool are hoping to offload three players this summer in a bid to raise funds for new signings, according to reports in the British media.
The Times is reporting that the Reds are prepared to let Mamadou Sakho, Alberto Moreno and Lazar Markovic leave the club for a combined total of around £60m.
The same story claims that Watford are lining up a move to sign Markovic from Liverpool this summer, with the Serbian attacker having spent the second half of last season on loan to Hull City.
Sakho was sent out on loan to Crystal Palace last season, while Moreno struggled to impress manager Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool are believed to be on the lookout for a number of new signings ahead of next season but the Reds have thus far only confirmed the capture of young striker Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.
Klopp will want to bolster his squad as he prepares his side for a return to the Champions League next season following their fourth-placed finish last term.
Liverpool will also be hoping to challenge for the Premier League title next season as Klopp prepares for his second full campaign in charge at the club.
