Jurgen Klopp told Liverpool FC should sign proven 31-year-old Italian defender
Liverpool FC should consider a swoop to sign Italian defender Leonardo Bonucci this summer, according to Steve Nicol

Jurgen Klopp should consider a bid to sign AC Milan defender Leonardo Bonucci to improve the Liverpool FC defence, according to Steve Nicol.
The 31-year-old is thought to be eager to leave AC Milan this summer despite moving to Milan from Juventus in a £37.5m deal in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Milan finished in sixth spot in the Serie A table last term to miss out on a Champions League spot after finishing behind Juventus, Napoli, AS Roma, Inter Milan and Lazio.
Bonucci would surely be loathe to miss put on the chance to feature in the Champions League considering the centre-half is in the twilight of his career.
The former Liverpool FC defender Nicol was asked whether the Reds should consider a move to sign Bonucci to improve their back four ahead of the new season, the former Scottish defender said:
“Absolutely. Why wouldn’t you. If I was in charge, I would.”
Liverpool FC signed Netherlands international Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window to make the Dutchman the world’s most expensive defender.
The Reds went on to splash £67m on AS Roma goalkeeper to make the Brazil number one the world’s most expensive shot stopper to finally solve a long-term problem position.
