Liverpool FC keeping tabs on promising 18-year-old talent – report
Liverpool are keeping tabs on talented young German midfielder Kai Havertz, say reports

Liverpool are keeping tabs on talented young German midfielder Kai Havertz, according to reports in the British media.
The Liverpool Echo is reporting that the Reds are monitoring the talented 18-year-old as Jurgen Klopp considers adding some young German stars to his squad at Anfield.
The same report says that Liverpool scouts were in attendance at Germany Under-19s match against Belarus in a Uefa qualifier for the Under-19 Euro Championship on Wednesday.
And the story claims that most of the Reds’ focus was on Bayer Leverkusen attacking midfielder Havertz, who scored four goals on the night to wrap up a 5-1 victory.
It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will firm up their interest in the teenager, who signed a new contract with Leverkusen in July which provisionally keeps him at the club until 2022.
Liverpool have made something of a mixed start to the new Premier League season, with the Reds currently in seventh place in the table and seven points behind leaders Manchester City.
Klopp will be desperate for his side to return to winning ways after the international break when they take on bitter rivals Manchester United at Anfield on Saturday lunchtime.
Liverpool finished fourth in the Premier League last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
