Liverpool FC warned about signing 26-year-old forward: He won’t fit Jurgen Klopp’s style
Kevin Kilbane warned Liverpool FC about signing Leicester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez

Kevin Kilbane has warned Liverpool FC that Riyad Mahrez isn’t suited to Jurgen Klopp’s style of play.
The Reds sold Brazil international Philippe Coutinho in a £142m deal to La Liga giants Barcelona at the weekend.
Coutinho’s departure leaves a void in the Liverpool FC team heading into the second half of the Premier League season.
Leicester midfielder Mahrez has been talked up as a potential candidate to replace Coutinho in the Liverpool FC team.
The Algeria international scored 19 times and made 15 assists during Leicester’s title-winning campaign in the 2015-16 season.
Mahrez won the 2015 PFA player of the year award thanks to his performances in the Leicester team but has struggled to maintain those high standards.
The 26-year-old missed out on a move to Arsenal or Barcelona in the 2016 summer transfer window and didn’t rediscover his best form until this season.
However, former Everton midfielder Kilbane isn’t sure whether Mahrez would be a good fit at Liverpool FC under Klopp.
“I don’t see Mahrez as a Klopp player,” Kilbane told Irish radio station Newstalk on Monday night.
“The way Liverpool play and press, I don’t see that from Mahrez. He is a wonderfully talented, gifted player.
“Klopp would have to change him from the player he is at Leicester.”
The Leicester star has scored seven times and has made seven assists in 22 games in the English top flight this term.
Liverpool FC will take on Portuguese giants FC Porto in the Champions League last 16 next month.
