Liverpool FC are hoping to use Simon Mignolet as a makeweight in a deal to sign Besiktas defender Domagoj Vida, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mirror is reporting that the Reds are keen to add the Croatia international to their squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
The same article states that Liverpool FC have already failed with a £19.5m (€22m) bid to sign the World Cup star from the Turkish side.
According to the same story, Besiktas are keen to sign a number one goalkeeper and Jurgen Klopp hopes that Mignolet could be included as part of a deal to Vida.
Reports in Turkey suggest that Arsenal, Everton and West Ham United are keeping tabs on the 29-year-old centre-half in the summer transfer window.
Mignolet is facing an uncertain future at Liverpool FC after Klopp signed Brazil number one Alisson Becker in a world record £67m deal from Serie A giants AS Roma earlier this month.
Liverpool FC are unlikely to keep both Loris Karius and Mignolet at the Anfield outfit given both goalkeepers will harbour ambitions of being a number one shot stopper.
The Reds have also signed Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri this summer.
