Raphael Honigstein gives Liverpool FC transfer update on Nabil Fekir
German football expert Raphael Honigstein rules out Liverpool FC signing Lyon captain Nabil Fekir

Liverpool FC won’t sign Nabil Fekir from Lyon this summer, Raphael Honigstein has claimed.
The France international has been regularly linked with a move to Liverpool FC since the conclusion of the Premier League campaign back in May.
Fekir was thought to be close on a £57m move to Liverpool FC from Lyon earlier this month as the Reds looked to improve their attacking options.
However, the France international’s deal fell through after concerns emerged about the 24-year-old’s long-standing injury problem.
Fekir was even reported to have selected his number at the Anfield outfit before the proposed transfer collapse.
Although the France playmaker’s move is off for now, Liverpool FC continue to be linked with a swoop to sign the Lyon capital after the World Cup.
The Reds have already signed Xherdan Shaqiri in a £13.5m deal from relegated Stoke City to improve their attacking options.
Bundesliga expert Honigstein has ruled out Liverpool FC signing Fekir from Lyon in the summer transfer window.
“Fekir is definitely not happening,” Honigstein told ESPN FC. “It has been the latest since June and it won’t change.”
Liverpool FC have spent over £150m on adding Brazil international Fabinho, RB Leipzig star Naby Keita and AS Roma goalkeeper Alisson Becker this summer.
