Daniel Sturridge raves about new Liverpool FC signing
The Liverpool FC striker has been impressed with Naby Keita's pre-season performances

Daniel Sturridge has admitted that he has been surprised by the quality of new Liverpool signing Naby Keita.
The Guinea international finally completed a move to Liverpool FC in a £48m deal from Bundesliga side RB Leipzig this summer after the two clubs agreed to a fee in 2017.
Keita will wear the number eight shirt in Jurgen Klopp’s team next season, becoming the first player to take on the prestigious shirt since Steven Gerrard’s exit three summers ago.
The African star will be tasked with filling the void left by Emre Can after the Germany international completed a move to Serie A champions Juventus earlier this summer.
Keita helped RB Leipzig to qualify for the Champions League in his first season at the Bundesliga side following his switch £12m switch from Swiss side Red Bull Salzburg in 2016.
Liverpool FC striker Sturridge has been impressed with Keita’s performances in pre-season ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
“I love that guy. I’m surprised how good he is actually, if I’m honest. I knew he was good but I don’t watch German football too often,” Sturridge told Liverpool’s website, as quoted by the Daily Express.
“I haven’t seen a midfielder like him for a while, he is something different. It’s crazy.
“The things he can do with the ball – he can defend, he can pass, he can dribble, he is fast, he is strong. He has got everything.
“I’m excited to see what he does in the Premier League and the Champions League.
“I sit next to him in the changing room and we have a lot of banter; my French is terrible but I try my best. His English is OK.
“We share some good times and have a lot of laughs together. I like him a lot, he’s a good guy.”
Liverpool FC started their summer spending with the £39m addition of Fabinho from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco.
Swiss star Xherdan Shaqiri completed a cut price £13.5m move from Stoke City earlier this month.
Liverpool FC made AS Roma’s Alisson Becker the most expensive goalkeeper in the world following his £67m move.
