The story goes on to suggest that Lille will ask around £70m for Pepe in the summer transfer window.
Pepe scored 22 goals and made 11 assists in 38 games in Ligue 1 last season to catch the attention of a host of Europe’s top clubs.
Liverpool FC have been quiet in the summer transfer window so far following the addition of one player to their squad ahead of the new season.
