Le10Sport, as quoted by the Daily Mirror, is reporting that Liverpool FC are contemplating the possibility of re-signing the playmaker.
The same article states that Coutinho’s insistence that he wouldn’t move to Manchester United out of respect for Liverpool FC has softened their stance.
According to the same story, the Merseyside outfit are considering giving Coutinho a second chance at the six-time European champions.
The South American moved to FC Barcelona in a £142m deal from Liverpool FC in the 2018 January transfer window.
Coutinho has struggled to replicate his impressive Liverpool FC form at FC Barcelona over the past 18 months.
The 27-year-old has scored 21 goals in 75 games in all competitions since his big-money switch.
Coutinho was muted during FC Barcelona’s 4-3 loss to Liverpool FC over two legs in the Champions League semi-finals.
Indeed, the South American playmaker was heavily booed during FC Barcelona’s 4-0 loss to Liverpool FC at Anfield in the second leg.
The Reds went on to ease to a 2-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the Champions League final in Madrid.
