Liverpool FC get ‘green light’ to bid for 22-year-old FC Barcelona attacker – report
FC Barcelona could sell Ousmane Dembele to Liverpool FC if the Reds make a £90m offer for the Frenchman, according to a report
Liverpool FC have received the green light to make an offer for FC Barcelona striker Ousmane Dembele, according to a report in England.
Website TEAMtalk is reporting that FC Barcelona have informed Liverpool FC that they would be prepared to sell Dembele in the the summer transfer window.
The same article states that FC Barcelona are eager to raise funds to complete deals for Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann and Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt.
According to the same story, the La Liga champions are prepared to sell Dembele as long as Liverpool FC make a £90m offer for the France international.
TEAMtalk go on to state that FC Barcelona want to recoup their £90m outlay on the French forward after Dembele swapped Borussia Dortmund for Camp Nou in the 2017 summer transfer window.
The French forward struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the FC Barcelona team last term after Dembele netted eight goals and made five assists in 20 starts and nine substitute appearances.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the Frenchman as the summer transfer window gets into full swing.
Liverpool FC are thought to be keen to improve their depth up front following their reliance on Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane in the last few seasons.
