Jurgen Klopp urged to sell key Liverpool FC star to fund new signings
Danny Mills believes Liverpool should sell Philippe Coutinho to raise funds for new signings

Danny Mills has criticised Liverpool for failing to sell Philippe Coutinho and investing in new signings in the summer transfer window.
The Brazil international was heavily linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer but a deal failed to materialise.
Indeed, Coutinho handed in a transfer request but Liverpool still refused to budge and kept the attacking midfielder.
Barcelona were rumoured to be ready to cough up a transfer fee in the region of £116m for the 25-year-old attacker.
Coutinho has scored four goals in five starts in all competitions but Liverpool have struggled defensively to underline their attack.
Liverpool failed to sign a centre-half in the summer transfer window despite the Reds being heavily linked with Southampton captain Virgil van Dijk.
Former Manchester City defender Mills believes Liverpool should have sold Coutinho to raise funds to strengthen key areas of their squad.
“If money is an issue to buy new players, sell Coutinho,” Mills told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“They’ve got Oxlade-Chamberlain, Lallana, Salah and Firmino. They’ve got players who can play in that area. They’ve got cover.”
Liverpool finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last season to secure a return to the Champions League.
The Reds only signed Hull City left-back Andy Robertson to improve their defence in the summer transfer window.
