Danny Murphy raves about new Liverpool FC signing: He’s a bargain
The Liverpool FC legend is a big fan of Swiss playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri

Danny Murphy has issued his backing for new Liverpool FC signing Xherdan Shaqiri.
The Merseyside outfit landed the Switzerland international in a £13.5m deal from relegated Premier League side Stoke City after Nabil Fekir’s proposed move to the Anfield outfit collapsed.
Liverpool FC saw off competition from other Premier League clubs for Shaqiri’s signature to strengthen their attacking options and add more variety to Jurgen Klopp’s team ahead of the new season.
The 18-time English champions are looking to win their first Premier League title under German head coach after finishing in fourth place in the last two seasons.
The Merseyside outfit have also signed AS Monaco midfielder Fabinho, RB Leipzig star Naby Keita and Brazilian goalkeeper Alisson Becker to add more depth to their squad ahead of a title challenge.
Former Liverpool FC midfielder Murphy believes Shaqiri is a great addition to the Reds squad given his economical transfer fee.
“He is a steal at that money,” Murphy told Sky Sports’ Debate. “He had a good World Cup. He is going to push others.”
Liverpool FC lost 3-1 to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final last season to miss out on a first trophy under Klopp.
The former Borussia Dortmund head coach took over the reins from Brendan Rodgers in October 2015.
Liverpool FC will start the new season with a home clash against West Ham.
