Steve McManaman delivers verdict on Liverpool FC transfer business
The Liverpool FC legend is impressed with Jurgen Klopp's summer signings so far

Liverpool FC have done the best transfer business in the summer, according to Steve McManaman.
The Reds have been very active over the past few months since Liverpool FC suffered a 3-1 loss to La Liga giants Real Madrid in the Champions League final back in May.
Liverpool FC started the summer spending with the £39m addition of Brazil international Fabinho from Ligue 1 side AS Monaco to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s midfield.
The Reds have added RB Leipzig’s Guinea international Naby Keita in a £48m deal after the 18-time English champions reached an agreement with the Bundesliga club in 2017.
Switzerland international Xherdan Shaqiri in a cut price £13m deal from relegated Stoke City to add more flair to Klopp’s team ahead of the new Premier League season.
The Merseyside outfit signed Brazil international Alisson Becker in a world record £67m fee from AS Roma to finally solve a long-term weakness in the Liverpool FC team.
Arsenal have signed five players this summer following the appointment of Unai Emery, while Manchester United and Chelsea FC have been left rather frustrated in the current transfer market.
Former Liverpool FC captain McManaman believes the Reds performed well in the summer transfer market in comparison to their rivals.
“Liverpool have done their signings early,” McManaman told ESPN FC.
“Man United have only bought Fred. Chelsea are in disarray. Tottenham have bought anyone.
“Arsenal have brought in a few players. Liverpool have done the best business in the transfer window.”
