Guillem Balague provides latest update Liverpool FC transfer plans for January
The Spanish football expert doesn't expect Liverpool FC to sign Riyad Mahrez or Thomas Lemar in Janaury

Liverpool FC won’t sign Riyad Mahrez or Thomas Lemar in the January transfer window, according to Guillem Balague.
The Reds sold Brazil international Philippe Coutinho in a £142m deal to La Liga giants Barcelona last week.
Coutinho’s departure will leave a void in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield given his vital contributions so far this term.
Liverpool FC were linked with a potential move to sign Thomas Lemar in the summer transfer window but a deal didn’t come to fruition.
The Reds could rekindle their interest in Lemar, although the Reds would have to cough up a big fee for the highly-rated attacker.
Leicester City playmaker Riyad Mahrez is another player who has been linked with a potential switch to the Merseyside outfit.
But La Liga expert Balague rule out Liverpool FC signing either Lemar or Mahrez in the current transfer window.
“He’s in a weakened position,” Balague told the Transfer Talk podcast.
“They’ve got the money but everybody knows that so I’m not sure they’re in a rush to bring in anybody.
“Mahrez and Lemar are not targets for Liverpool so we’ll have to see what happens.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term to secure a return to the Champions League.
The Reds signed Virgil van Dijk in a £75m deal from Southampton in the January transfer window.
