Michael Owen states his prediction for Liverpool FC v Watford
The Liverpool FC legend is tipping the Reds to ease to victory over Watford on Saturday afternoon
Michael Owen is tipping Liverpool FC to beat Watford at Anfield in their Premier League meeting at Anfield on Saturday.
The Reds will be looking to make a swift return to winning ways following a 2-1 loss to bitter rivals Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend.
Liverpool FC were left five points adrift of the second-placed team with eight games to play in the 2017-18 Premier League campaign.
The Merseyside outfit have the chance to cut Manchester United’s lead to two point if Jurgen Klopp’s side beat Watford at Anfield on Saturday.
Liverpool FC played out an entertaining 3-3 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road in their opening game of the Premier League season back in August.
Klopp’s men were 6-1 winners against the Hornets in their last Premier League meeting at Anfield in the 2016-17 campaign.
Former Liverpool FC striker Owen is backing the Reds to ease to a comfortable win over Watford in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
“Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 17 home league games and I expect the Reds to return to winning ways after the disappointment of last weekend’s Old Trafford defeat,” Owen told BetVictor.
“Jurgen Klopp has never lost back-to-back in the Premier League and the Reds put six past the Hornets in the corresponding game last season.
“The sides shared six goals at Vicarage Road on the opening day of the season and I expect to see goals at Anfield – with Liverpool getting more than their fair share.”
Liverpool FC finished in fourth place in the Premier League table last term in Klopp’s first full season in charge at the Anfield outfit.
The Reds were drawn against Premier League leaders Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-final draw on Friday afternoon.
