Graeme Souness tells Liverpool to stick with Jurgen Klopp: He’s a good fit
The Liverpool legend issues his backing for Jurgen Klopp despite a tough start to the season

Graeme Souness has urged Liverpool to give Jurgen Klopp time to get things right at Anfield.
The Merseyside outfit have endured a sticky run of form in the Premier League following a disappointing return of one win in their last six top-flight outings.
Liverpool lost 4-1 to top-four rivals Tottenham Hotspur last weekend to raise serious questions about their ability to compete for the title in the 2017-18 campaign.
The Reds failed to tackle some of their defensive issues in the summer with Simon Mignolet persisting in goal and Dejan Lovren remaining a first-choice centre-half.
Liverpool have already conceded 15 times in five games on the road in the Premier League this season to ship more goals than basement club Crystal Palace.
Naturally, Klopp is facing questions about his poor recruitment in the summer transfer window and his inability to improve Liverpool’s defence after 24 months at Anfield.
However, Souness, who was Liverpool captain before taking over the reins of the club from Kenny Dalglish in 1992, believes Klopp is the right man to take the Anfield outfit forward.
“Liverpool have to stick with Klopp too. He is a good fit for Liverpool,” Souness told Sky Sports.
“He is a passionate man, wears his heart on his sleeve and Liverpool are that sort of club to give him time.”
Liverpool signed AS Roma winger Mohamed Salah, Chelsea teenager Dominic Solanke, Hull City defender Andy Robertson and Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the summer transfer window.
