Insider reveals Liverpool prepared to make offer to sign 18-year-old striker
Liverpool are open to making an offer to sign AS Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe if the France star is serious about moving to England, according to James Pearce

Liverpool would be prepared to make an offer to sign Kylian Mbappe if the Reds felt the striker was serious about a move to the Premier League, according to James Pearce.
The Monaco striker has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in European football over the past season to alert some of Europe’s biggest clubs to the teenager’s talents.
Arsenal have been linked with a move to sign the 18-year-old in recent weeks but a deal which would see the striker move to the Emirates Stadium hasn’t materialised yet.
Champions League holders Real Madrid are thought to be leading the race to sign Mbappe this summer as Zinedine Zidane looks to land a marquee signing.
Liverpool are thought to be surprise contenders to sign the striker this summer as Jurgen Klopp looks to ready his squad for a return to the Champions League next season.
However, Liverpool Echo reporter Pearce believes Liverpool are unlikely to sign Mbappe this summer despite recent transfer speculation.
“If Mbappe wanted a move to the Premier League, Liverpool would be prepared to bid for him, but I don’t expect that to happen,” Pearce told the Liverpool Echo.
Mbappe scored 15 times in 26 games to help Monaco win the Ligue 1 title last season.
The teenager scored six times in nine games as the Ligue 1 side reached the Champions League semi-finals before a 4-2 aggregate loss to Juventus.
