Liverpool prepared to exceed clause in 22-year-old’s contract – report
Liverpool are ready to make an offer to sign Guinea international Naby Keita despite RB Leipzig's hefty price tag, according to reports

Liverpool are willing to make an offer in excess of £48m to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita in the summer transfer window, according to reports in English media.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the Merseyside outfit are ready to test the Bundesliga club’s resolve to hold onto the Guinea international beyond the summer transfer window.
The same article states that Liverpool are aware of a £48m release clause in Keita’s contract that won’t come into force until the 2018 summer transfer window.
However, the story goes on to reveal that the Reds don’t wait to wait 12 months to sign Keita and Liverpool are prepared to make an offer well in excess of £48m – possibly closer to £70m.
The African box-to-box midfielder established himself as one of the most-exciting prospects in the Bundesliga last term despite only moving to RB Leipzig from Austrian side Red Bull Salzburg last summer.
Keita scored eight times and made nine assists in 31 appearances in the Bundesliga last term to secure a second-place finish behind German champions Bayern Munich.
