Martin Keown offers Liverpool the best solution to Philippe Coutinho saga
Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown believes Liverpool should keep Philippe Coutinho and sell the Brazil international next summer

Martin Keown has urged Liverpool to keep Philippe Coutinho before selling the number 10 next summer.
Barcelona have been chasing the Brazil international in recent weeks as the La Liga giants look to sign a replacement for Neymar.
Liverpool have reportedly rejected three offers from the Catalan side for the 25-year-old attacker in the summer transfer window so far.
Coutinho has handed in a transfer request in an attempt to force a move to the Camp Nou amid talk of Barcelona offering £136m for the South American.
The Liverpool No10 has scored 13 goals and has made seven assists in 31 appearances in the Premier League to help the Reds secure a return to the Champions League.
The Merseyside outfit have won three of their four games in the 2017-18 season so far without Coutinho, who has been absent with a back problem and now illness.
Former Arsenal defender Keown has offered Liverpool an ideal solution to the Coutinho saga.
“The best solution may be to convince Coutinho to stay for the rest of the season and grant him a move to Spain in the summer,” Keown told the Daily Mail.
“Whatever happens, huge decisions will have to be taken once the Arsenal game is out of the way.”
Coutinho moved to Liverpool in an £8.5m deal from Serie A giants Inter Milan in the 2013 January transfer window.
The South American hasn’t won any silverware since moving to Anfield although Liverpool finished in second place in 2013-14.
