Liverpool transfers: ‘Adam Lallana the biggest miss for Southampton’
Liverpool transfers: Adam Lallana would be Southampton's biggest loss this summer, says Matt Le Tissier
Adam Lallana would be Southampton’s greatest loss this summer as the midfielder edges closer to a move to Liverpool, according to Matt Le Tissier.
The 26-year-old is believed to be on the verge of completing a transfer to Anfield and following in the footsteps of his former Saints team-mate Rickie Lambert in moving to the Merseyside outfit.
The big one for most Southampton fans would be Lallana. He’ll be a big loss for us

Southampton have also seen Luke Shaw leave St Mary’s to join Manchester United in recent days – but Le Tissier feels that Lallana would be the biggest miss for his former club.
“It’s not the best feeling in the world to start losing your best players, but it’s the price we’re paying for a very good season,” Le Tissier told talkSPORT.
“We’ll miss Adam Lallana the most, I don’t have any doubts about that.
“Obviously Luke Shaw was very good for us last season. If you look at the assists and the goals Adam provided though, he was right up there with the top three or four players in the Premier League.
“Yes, we’ll miss Rickie and Luke, but the big one for most Southampton fans would be Lallana. He’ll be a big loss for us.”
