Liverpool transfers: Barcelona chief praises ‘humble’ Luis Suarez
Liverpool transfers: Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta hails Luis Suárez as "humble" after his apology to Giorgio Chiellini

Barcelona have praised Luis Suarez for the Liverpool striker’s apology to Giorgio Chiellini after biting the Italy defender during a World Cup game.
The 27-year-old is being heavily linked with a move to Barcelona despite receiving a fourth-month ban from all football-related activity from Fifa for the incident which occurred during Uruguay’s 1-0 victory over Italy last week.
Suarez released a public apology on Monday afternoon, reportedly without Liverpool’s prior knowledge, which was aimed to broker a big-money move to the four-time European champions this summer.

And Barcelona sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta praised Suarez for showing a “humble” side after his public apology to the Juventus defender, fuelling speculation Suarez will seal a switch to the Catalan side.
“Suarez has shown he is humble enough to admit an error, which is very important,” Zubizarreta is quoted as saying by the Guardian.
“He has been humble enough to apologise to those he has affected, because it happened in the middle of a festival of football. In this case it’s the best thing a person can do.”
Suarez was named the PFA player of the year in May after scoring 31 goals in 33 Premier League games, despite missing the first five matches of the season as he finished his 10-game ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic.
