Liverpool transfers: Brendan Rodgers insists Pepe Reina is not for sale this summer despite reported interest from Barcelona

Brendan Rodgers has rubbished talk of Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina leaving in the summer transfer window.
The Spain international has been linked with a move to Barcelona in recent months after it emerged Victor Valdes is unlikely to extend his contract at Camp Nou beyond 2014.
The 30-year-old was guilty of making a number of high-profile errors earlier in the campaign, prompting talk of Rodgers selling the Spain international in the summer.
However, Reina has bounced back with six clean sheets in his last nine games in all competitions, taking his Premier League tally to 12 for the season, just behind Petr Cech and Joe Hart.
And Rodgers has no plans to allow the Spanish shot stopper leave the club at the end of the season.
“It’s that silly season now that starts up all the rumours and whatnot but Pepe’s not for sale,” said Rodgers at a news conference on Friday.
“He’s got three years left on his contract here, he’s happy and obviously there’s speculation but it’s not worth commenting on.”
Reina has kept 174 clean sheets in 393 appearances for Liverpool after completing a switch from Villarreal to the Merseyside outfit in 2005.
