Liverpool transfers: Brendan Rodgers plays down Luis Suárez exit reports
Liverpool transfers: Brendan Rodgers insists striker Luis Suárez is committed to the club amid interest from Bayern Munich

Brendan Rodgers insists that Liverpool striker Luis Suárez is “committed to the club” despite reported interest from Bayern Munich.
The Uruguay international has been in sparkling form for the Reds this term, scoring his 16th Premier League goal of the season in a 5-0 victory over Norwich City last weekend.
The 26-year-old penned a new long-term contract with Liverpool in August – but it has failed to prevent rumours circulating about the South American’s future.
Pep Guardiola is set to take charge of Bundesliga leaders Bayern in the summer and Suárez is reported to be the Spaniard’s top target.
However, Rodgers is confident the former Ajax man wants to stay at the Merseyside outfit.
“Luis had a terrific season last season and he had an opportunity to leave in the summer, and probably would have had a ready-made excuse with a new manager coming in, but he never did,” Rodgers said.
“He committed to the club. He sees the vision going forward, and he believes in that.
“He knows it won’t happen overnight. He has had a brilliant season with 20 goals until now, and hopefully there are many more to come.”
Rodgers also revealed his desire to mastermind a sustained run in the FA Cup this term, with the Reds facing Oldham Athletic for a place in the fifth round.
“When you are a club like this you are judged on your trophies, and we want to improve in the league as well,” he added.
