Liverpool transfers: Jamie Carragher tips Reds manager Brendan Rodgers to sign "another attacking player" this summer

Jamie Carragher has tipped Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers to sign “another attacking player” before the end of the summer transfer window.
The centre-half came out of retirement to play in Steven Gerrard’s testimonial and help his former club secure a 2-0 victory over Olympiakos on Saturday.
The 35-year-old has been impressed by Liverpool’s performances in pre-season training and reckons Rodgers is starting to find the balance in his side after taking over in May 2012.
But Carragher believes the Reds manager will want to sign another attacker in the coming weeks.
“I think the pre-season has gone well, I’ve been watching all the games on LFC TV. They are looking good and hopefully we’ll start the season well,” Carragher told Liverpool’s website.
“From an offensive point of view they have scored a few goals. I was just a bit worried I was going to come on and we were going to concede, because I know they haven’t conceded in pre-season yet.
“If you get those two things right, you’re doing well. We want to get plenty of goals – we’ve still got Sturridge to come back, Luis is just getting back into it, I think the manager is looking to bring another attacking player in, and Robbie as well!”
