Liverpool transfers: Pepe Reina says he is happy at the Reds despite being flattered by reported interest from Barcelona

Pepe Reina says he is happy to stay at Liverpool despite finding Barcelona’s interest “flattering”.
The 30-year-old has three years remaining on his current Reds deal but has been linked with a return to the Catalan club.
Barça goalkeeper Victor Valdes looking to quit the club at the end of the season, opening up the number one spot at Camp Nou.
Reina has experienced a mixed season by his high standards, but the Spain international hinted he is ready to stay at the club until his deal expires in 2016.
“I have three more years with Liverpool,” Reina told Cadena Ser.
“I’m satisfied, comfortable and my family are very happy. Rumours are difficult to control but it’s flattering when a club like Barça is interested in you.
“I don’t know if there has been contact between the clubs or with my agent. At the moment I don’t think there’s anything serious.”
Reina has been a mainstay of Liverpool’s first-team after completing a £6m move from Villarreal to the Reds in 2006.
Despite missing out on the Premier League’s golden glove award after a below-par campaign, Reina feels valued by the Reds.
“I don’t know how long I’ve got left in football, what I do know is I want to enjoy what remains and feel appreciated and at Liverpool I have that.”
