Liverpool transfers: Reds ‘agree £8m Loic Remy deal’
Liverpool have agreed a £8m fee with Queens Park Rangers to sign striker Loïc Remy, say reports

Liverpool have agreed a £8m fee with Queens Park Rangers to sign striker Loic Remy, according to reports.
The France international, who has also been touted as a target for Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur this summer, spent last season on loan to Newcastle United and has now been given permission to talk to the Anfield club, the Liverpool Echo is reporting.
The 27-year-old forward has his heart set on playing the Champions League next season after scoring 14 goals in 26 games for the Magpies last term.
Remy signed for QPR from Marseille in January 2013 but could not help the Hoops avoid Premier League relegation following his arrival.
Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for players to bolster his strike-force following the sale of Luis Suarez to Barcelona this month.
“I think he [Remy] really wants to play Champions League football next year somewhere,” said QPR boss Harry Redknapp on Friday.
“We gave him time off after the World Cup but I think he’s really looking to move. I would be surprised if he was at QPR at the start of the year.”
