Phil Neville has warned Manchester United that Jurgen Klopp is capable of getting his Liverpool side fired up to beat Jose Mourinho’s men at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.

The Red Devils are one of the Premier League’s form teams heading into the bitter clash following a return of 21 goals in their opening seven top-flight fixtures.

Manchester United have only conceded two goals and have kept an impressive six clean sheets to keep pace with Premier League leaders Manchester City in the title race.

Liverpool have only managed to win one of their last seven games to raise questions about Klopp and his Reds players in the context of the Premier League title race.

However, the Merseyside outfit finished unbeaten with the best record against the top six last term following a return of 20 points from their 10 fixtures.

Former Manchester United defender Neville warned Mourinho’s side to anticipate a fired up Liverpool side at Anfield in their Premier League clash this weekend.

“It’s a dangerous game for Man United,” Neville told The Debate on Sky Sports on Thursday night. “Klopp could get them fired up.

“They could beat Man United. He is that type of manager.”

Liverpool and Manchester United played out stalemates at both Anfield and Old Trafford last season.

The Reds finished in fourth place and two places above Manchester United in the Premier League table last term.
