Kenny Dalglish is tipping Liverpool to claim a 2-1 victory over Manchester United in Saturday’s crunch Premier League clash at Anfield.
Liverpool head into the game looking to get back to winning ways in the top flight after their 1-1 draw with Newcastle United before the international break.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are aiming to continue their fine form under Jose Mourinho this season, with the Red Devils having won six of their opening seven games in the Premier League.
Mourinho’s men are currently in second place in the Premier League table and level on points with leaders Manchester City after seven games of the new campaign.
Liverpool are down in seventh place after having only won three of their opening seven Premier League games as they prepare for Saturday’s showdown against their bitter local rivals.
And Liverpool legend Dalglish is tipping his former side to claim all three points against Mourinho’s men on Saturday, despite Manchester United being the in-form team.
Speaking to BetStars, Dalglish said: “Hopefully it’s not the same as last year, 0-0. That wasn’t a very entertaining game.
“I’ll go 2-1 for Liverpool, but maybe I’m making a judgment call with my heart and not my head.
“At the moment, United are playing very well and Liverpool haven’t had the breaks. But their luck is bound to change at some time or other and hopefully it will be this week.”
Liverpool are aiming to improve their form and mount a Premier League title challenge after they finished fourth last season.
Manchester United, meanwhile, are looking to win the title for the first time since their final triumph under Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
