John Aldridge states his prediction for Liverpool v Man United
John Aldridge looks ahead to Manchester United's trip to Liverpool FC in the Premier League on Saturday

John Aldridge is fully expecting Manchester United to approach Saturday’s showdown with Liverpool with a defensive mentality.
The Red Devils are preparing to travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp’s men on Merseyside as they bid to continue their fine start to the new season under the Portuguese coach.
Manchester United have won six of their opening seven games to leave them second in the Premier League table and level on points with leaders Manchester City.
Jose Mourinho’s men have been widely praised for their strong start to the new campaign, with the Red Devils having only conceded two goals so far this term.
However, despite Manchester United having looked impressive in attack by scoring four goals on multiple occasions this season, former Liverpool star Aldridge is convinced that the Red Devils will set out to defend on Saturday.
Writing in his column for the Liverpool Echo, Aldridge said: “I’ve seen some suggestions that United might come to Anfield to attack, that Mourinho might take the shackles off them and go for the throat.
“Get real! There is a zero per cent chance of that happening, trust me! It just isn’t in Mourinho’s make up.
“His way is to spoil, to slow the game down and try to frustrate their opponents. Say what you like about him, and he’s not my cup of tea as you’ll know, but he does it well.
“You look at the players he’s signed for United, and it tells its own story. They’re all six foot four, built like you-know-whats, and they all know how to mix it.”
Liverpool, meanwhile, head into Saturday’s game looking to get back to winning ways in the Premier League.
The Reds have only won three of their opening seven games to leave them seventh in the Premier League table and seven points behind the leaders Manchester City.
Liverpool have also only drawn their opening two Champions League group games this season.
