David James explains his prediction for Liverpool v Man United
David James is expecting to see Liverpool and Manchester United play out a draw at Anfield on Monday night

David James is tipping Liverpool’s clash with Manchester United at Anfield on Monday night to finish in a thrilling draw.
The Red Devils are preparing to make the short journey to Merseyside to take on their bitter local rivals as they bid to get back to winning ways in the top flight following their 1-1 draw with Stoke before the international break.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are aiming to continue their solid start to the season as they look to claim victory to keep up the pace with Premier League leaders Manchester City.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have already beaten the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Leicester this season, and know that a win against United would move them level on points with Pep Guardiola’s pace-setters and Arsenal at the top of the table.
Former Liverpool goalkeeper James is well aware of the attacking threat posed by Manchester United, with the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Marcus Rashford in good form heading into the game.
However, the retired shot-stopper feels that the game is likely to end all square on Merseyside.
Asked for his prediction for the game, James told The Sport Review in an exclusive interview: “This is the moment I should be saying that Liverpool will win 4-0!
“My concerns with Liverpool, and I’m not pointing the finger at the goalkeepers, is that they [only] have one clean sheet this season. Teams like Manchester United will think they’re going to get a chance.
“Last season, they [United] stretched the defence and you’d imagine it’ll be that way again.
“You’ve got the likes of Marcus Rashford, who isn’t fazed by anything it would appear, and the likes of Ibrahimovic, who joined this league to win it. This will be one of the matches he [Ibrahimovic] will have been looking forward to when he signed for Manchester United.
“There are a lot of factors saying it will be a tight game but I don’t think it will be 0-0; I think there will be goals.
“But although I want Liverpool to win, I think it will be a draw.”
