Michael Owen is backing Liverpool FC to bounce back to winning ways with a home victory over Swansea City on Boxing Day.

The Reds head into the game looking to get back on track after their thrilling 3-3 draw at Arsenal on Friday night.

Liverpool FC were 2-0 up in the second half at The Emirates only for them to concede three quick goals. However, Jurgen Klopp’s men were able to rescue a point thanks to Roberto Firmino’s equaliser.

The Merseyside outfit will be hoping to get their top-four bid back on track with a home victory against the Swans on Boxing Day.

And former Liverpool FC star Owen is fully expecting to see the Reds claim all three points in front of their home fans on Boxing Day.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “Liverpool must still be wondering how they did not pick up all three points at The Emirates on Friday when they had enough first-half chances to be out of sight.

“That said, those five mad second-half minutes are a concern although I do not think the Reds will slip up against bottom-of-the-table Swansea back at Anfield.

“The Swans won the corresponding game 3-2 last season, but I would be surprised if they were able to frustrate the hosts who continue to look full of goals.”

Liverpool FC are currently in fourth place in the Premier League table and 20 points behind leaders Manchester City at the half-way stage of the season.

It remains to be seen whether Jurgen Klopp will dip into the January transfer market and look to strengthen his squad in the new year.

Liverpool FC will take on FC Porto in the last 16 of the Champions League over two legs in 2018.
