Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge can score up to 30 goals, says Ian Rush
Liverpool's all-time record goal-scorer Ian Rush believes Daniel Sturridge can score between 20 and 30 goals this season

Ian Rush believes Daniel Sturridge is capable of scoring up to 30 Premier League goals this season.
The 23-year-old, who joined the Reds in a £12m deal from Chelsea in January, has started the season in fine form and has already scored seven goals in eight top-flight games.
And Rush, who is Liverpool’s all-time record goal-scorer, reckons the England international is capable of racking up between 20 and 30 goals this term.
“Daniel has got to be looking for between 20 and 30 goals this season,” Rush told the Daily Mirror.
“And I think him playing regularly for England is also going to help him for Liverpool. Every time he plays he looks like he is going to score. And he excites people when he’s on the pitch.
“Daniel has come to Liverpool and Brendan Rodgers has given him so much confidence. He always had potential. We always knew that he was a good player, otherwise you don’t play for Man City and Chelsea.”
Rush also praised Sturridge’s blossoming partnership with Uruguay international Luis Suarez, rubbishing claims the pair can’t play in the same side together.
“When you look at the two of them together it makes me laugh when people say they can’t play together,” he added.
“They have an understanding and you only have to look back to the Newcastle game to see that.
“They are always looking for each other and are getting better as a partnership every time they play. And you always feel as though at least one of them will score.”
