Liverpool’s Daniel Sturridge lifts lid on ‘fluid’ Luis Suarez partnership
Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge lifts the lid on his "very fluid partnership" with Reds forward Luis Suarez

Daniel Sturridge has lifted the lid on his “very fluid partnership” with Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.
The Reds pair, dubbed SAS, are the Premier League joint top goal-scorers alongside Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero after scoring eight strikes already this season.
And Sturridge feels he has a great understanding with the 26-year-old South American which gives them both freedom to exploit different areas of the pitch.
“It’s a very fluid partnership. We can both adapt to the situations that arise in a game. If he sees me dropping deep, I’ll go long and vice versa,” Sturridge told Liverpool’s website.
“We make runs that we both instinctively know the other one is going to make. We look for each other all the time and it’s a beautiful link-up to be a part of.
“It’s a joy to be involved with this team and to partner Luis in attack. It’s great to play alongside a world-class player like him.”
Sturridge has 18 goals in 24 Premier League appearances following a £12m move to Liverpool from Chelsea in the January transfer window.
