Arsenal turn attentions to proven 26-year-old winger after two failed bids – report
Arsenal are pondering a summer transfer bid for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez, according to reports

Arsenal are considering whether to make a serious transfer swoop for Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez after having had bids for both Thomas Lemar and Alexandre Lacazette rejected, according to reports.
The Daily Telegraph is reporting that the Gunners have been frustrated in their pursuits of Lemar and Lacazette and could now be set to make an official move to try and sign Mahrez from Leicester City.
The same article claims that Arsene Wenger has a “long-standing” interest in Mahrez and that the Gunners could be set to make a formal move for the 26-year-old this summer.
The story says that Leicester were originally demanding a transfer fee of as much as £50m for the Algeria international but that Arsenal would be “unlikely” to match that valuation.
Chelsea, meanwhile, are also said to be keeping tabs on Mahrez’s situation with a view to a possible summer bid for the former PFA player of the year.
Arsenal are believed to be on the lookout for a number of attacking reinforcements this summer, but the Gunners have so far only concluded a deal to sign left-back Sead Kolasinac from Schalke.
