Man City 0 Chelsea 1: Manuel Pellegrini claims that the Blues had the "luck" to win after first home defeat of the season
Manuel Pellegrini claimed that Chelsea had the “luck” as the Blues became the first top-flight team to beat his Manchester City side at Eithad Stadium this season.
Branislav Ivanovic netted the only goal of the game from the edge of the box in the 32nd minute as the visitors men carved out a number of chances and hit the woodwork three times.

Pellegrini was forced to do without injured trio Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho and Samir Nasri and the City boss felt that gave Jose Mourinho’s men an “important advantage”.
“It was a very close game,” Pellegrini told Sky Sports. “They scored a beautiful goal. We had clear chances also at least to draw but we couldn’t do it. They had two or three shots on the post.
“To play against Chelsea without Aguero, Nasri and Fernandinho is an important advantage.
“They had luck and played very well to win.”
The Chilean continued: “The race for the title is the same as it was before the match.
“For Chelsea it was important they didn’t go six points behind us but we stay just two points behind Arsenal.”
