Man City 2 Liverpool 1: Vincent Kompany says the Reds are the toughest opposition City have faced at home this term
Vincent Kompany felt that Manchester City passed their toughest test at home this season with flying colours after they came from behind to beat Liverpool and move up to second in the Premier League table.
Kompany headed home an equaliser in the 31st minute at Etihad Stadium after Philippe Coutinho had given the visitors the lead from close range.

And striker Alvaro Negredo netted the eventual winner on the stroke of half-time after the Spaniard poked a shot through Simon Mignolet’s grasp to preserve City’s 100 per cent home record in the league and move them to within a point of leaders Arsenal.
“The three points are massive. It is the hardest game we have had at home so far this season. It’s a great boost.
“I loved every single minute of it [my battle with Luis Suarez]. I live for these games and we had a handshake after the match. He appreciates the battle and so do I.”
The Belgium international added: “[The title race] is a weird one. All the top teams started off a little slowly. I don’t know how many wins we have got now but we can’t seem to get hold of that top spot.”
