Man City 5 Blackburn 0: Edin Dzeko believes that the Citizens' squad is strong than it has ever been
Edin Dzeko feels that Manchester City’s summer signings mean they now have a stronger squad than when they won the Premier League in 2011-12.
Manuel Pellegrini’s men booked their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup after thrashing Blackburn in Wednesday night’s replay at Etihad Stadium to keep them in the hunt for four trophies this season.
We are still there for four trophies but our target is just to try and win the next game

Alvaro Negredo scored either side of half-time before Dzeko’s double, while Sergio Aguero found the net within a minute of returning from injury as a second-half substitute.
And Dzeko said: “Our squad is better [than in 2011-12] because we have a few world-class players, especially bought in the summer, like Fernandinho, Jesus Navas and Negredo. Of course it’s amazing to have them here and that’s why we are better.
“We are still there for four trophies but our target is just to try and win the next game.”
Dzeko has been in good form for City of late, having scored five goals in his last three games.
But the 27-year-old insists he is not fazed by the prospect of having to compete with Aguero for a starting spot after the Argentina international’s spell on the sidelines with a calf problem.
“I’m OK, lately I’ve been playing a lot of games and so I feel good,” he added. “I don’t think that [Aguero’s return] is bad news for me. It’s great news for the team because he’s one of the important players for us.”
City will now host Championship side Watford in the fourth round.
