Paul Ince is backing Chelsea FC to lose 2-1 to Premier League leaders Manchester City at The Etihad on Sunday afternoon.

The Blues lost 2-1 to Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend after Paul Pogba cancelled out Willian’s opener before Jesse Lingard’s second-half winner.

The defending champions dropped out of the Premier League’s top four to leave Chelsea FC in fifth place and two points behind Tottenham Hotspur.

Manchester City have enjoyed a great week under Pep Guardiola following a 3-0 victory over Arsenal in the League Cup final at Wembley last weekend.

The Premier League leaders were 3-0 winners against the Gunners again in their Premier League meeting at the Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

Manchester City are 22 points ahead of the defending Premier League champions with 10 games to go in the title race,

Former Liverpool FC midfielder Ince is tipping Guardiola’s Manchester City to move one step closer to the Premier League top-flight crown.

“I’d love it if Antonio Conte shook things up and managed to get one over on Man City this weekend, but, I wouldn’t be backing it myself!” Ince told the Daily Express.

“I’d like to think Chelsea can at least stop Pep Guardiola’s side totally embarrassing them, though. Even if it is away from home, you would expect Chelsea to at least get a goal.”

Manchester City are looking to win their third Premier League title but first under Guardiola in the 2017-18 campaign.

Chelsea FC won the top-flight crown with two games to spare last season in Antonio Conte’s first campaign in charge of the west London side.
