Man City have ingredients needed to win league title, says Gael Clichy
Manchester City defender Gael Clichy believes the Citizens have all the ingredients needed to win the Premier League title

Gael Clichy reckons Manchester City have “all the ingredients” needed to win the Premier League title this season.
The Citizens have undergone a summer facelift after Roberto Mancini was replaced by Chilean Manuel Pellegrini in the Citizens hot seat in June.
The former Real Madrid boss signed Álvaro Negredo, Jesús Navas, Fernandinho, Stevan Jovetic and experienced centre-half Martín Demichelis in the transfer window.
City have made an inauspicious start to the league campaign, with a 3-2 loss to Cardiff City sandwiched between comfortable wins against Newcastle United and Hull City.
But France international Clichy is confident the Eastlands outfit can challenge for England’s top prize.
“New players have joined the team and we also have a new coach, so we have all the ingredients to win the title again,” Clichy told the Manchester Evening News.
“This is not only a question about the number we have, but it is also a question of mental strength. We can do it, we want to do it, and we’ll try anything, but at the moment we have to wait to see what will happen throughout the season.
“Having a new coach is the most important thing because everybody wants to work hard to show they all deserve a place in the squad.
“Of course, we had a great team two years ago and also last year and now, with four new players who have just arrived, we have an even better group.”
