Manchester City are willing to spend £100m on three new signings to keep up with Premier League leaders Liverpool FC, according to a report in England.
The Daily Mail is reporting that the defending Premier League champions want to sign long-term replacements for David Silva and Sergio Aguero.
The same article states that the Citizens want to sign a new centre-half to replace Kompany after the Belgian defender left in the summer.
According to the same story, Manchester City are prepared to spend £100m on the replacements to ensure Pep Guardiola’s side can keep pace with Liverpool FC.
The Daily Mail go on to state that the Eastlands outfit are set to enter into contract negotiations with a number of players over new deals to keep Guardiola’s side together.
Manchester City lost 3-1 to Liverpool FC at Anfield on Sunday evening following goals from Fabinho, Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane.
The Merseyside outfit are now eight points clear of Leicester City and Chelsea FC in the title race.
Manchester City are a point adrift of the chasing pack in fourth spot.
The Citizens won the Premier League crown last season after Guardiola’s side finished a point ahead of Liverpool FC.
