Man City transfers: Alexis Sánchez wants to stay at Barcelona
Man CIty transfers: Barcelona forward Alexis Sánchez says he wants to stay at the Camp Nou

Alexis Sánchez says he wants to stay and fight for his place at Barcelona after receiving reassurances from the club.
The 24-year-old has struggled to hold down a regular place in Tito Vilanova’s side this term, scoring seven goals in 17 starts for the La Liga champions.
Sánchez, who joined in a £22m deal from Udinese in 2011, has been linked with a possible switch to Juventus or Manchester City at the end of the season.
But the South American, who has three years remaining on his current Barcelona deal, wants to prove his worth and earn a place in Vilanova’s starting line-up.
“The club has told me that they want me to stay and now I am more calm,” Sánchez said.
“Everyone has said they want me to stay on and I am happy to be here for another season.
“Other clubs have shown interest in me, but I am happy to remain here and to earn a place in the team, which is most important.
“My intention has always been to stay and to do the best that I can.
“I have learned a lot of new things here. Next season I intend to be at my best. I have also learned a lot on the football front.”
Sánchez has scored 25 goals and made 17 assists in 85 appearances for Barcelona after completing his big-money move from Serie A.
