Man City transfers: Gael Clichy pens a new four-year deal with the Citizens which will see him stay until the summer of 2017

Gael Clichy has revealed his delight at signing a new four-year deal with Manchester City.
The France international has penned a new long-term contract to keep the left-back at the Citizens until 2017.
And Clichy, who joined in a £7m deal from Arsenal in 2011, is looking forward to helping the Citizens attempt to take back their Premier League crown next term.
“I’m really happy to have agreed a new deal with city and I’m already looking forward to next season,” Clichy told the club’s website.
“Things didn’t go the way we wanted them to this year but we’ll come back stronger next season and learn from this experience.”
City caretaker manager Brian Kidd also praised Clichy’s “attitude and conduct” during his spell at the Eastlands outfit.
“We are building a side that will challenge for honours for years to come and to do that, you need top quality players – Gael comfortably fits into the bracket,” said Kidd.
“Gael is a top professional off the pitch as well as on it and his attitude and conduct is faultless. He is a manager’s dream.”
Clichy has failed to score his first City goal but has made five assists in 70 Citizens appearances since his move from the Gunners.
