Jose Mourinho’s Blues side missed the chance to move up to second in the Premier League table on Wednesday after they were held to a goalless draw by a battling West Ham United at Stamford Bridge.

There were to be no such slip-ups from City, however, as Manuel Pellegrini’s men swept Tottenham aside 5-1 at White Hart Lane to leapfrog Arsenal into first place in the table.

The Citizens are in seemingly unstoppable form since the turn of the year, with Pellegrini’s side boasting a 100 per cent record in 2014 and having won nine of their last 10 games in the Premier League.

City have not dropped a single point at home and have scored a remarkable 42 goals in the league at The Etihad so far this term, beating the likes of Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal and Liverpool.
