Man City’s Manuel Pellegrini: Sergio Aguero to miss Villa clash
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini reveals Sergio Aguero and David Silva will miss the trip to Aston Villa on Saturday

Manuel Pellegrini has revealed Manchester City duo Sergio Aguero and David Silva won’t be available for the trip to Villa Park on Sunday.
The Argentina international picked up a knock as the 25-year-old scored a brace in a 4-1 victory over Manchester United last Sunday.
Silva, who joined City from Valencia in 2011, hasn’t featured for the Citizens since August due to a thigh strain and is yet to return to full fitness.
And City manager Pellegrini revealed he doesn’t want to risk the South American forward ahead of their crunch Champions League group-stage tie against Bayern Munich.
“Aguero finished the last derby in the last play with a small pain, I think it was nothing important but I think it was a risk for him to play three games in the same week,” Pellegrini told a pre-match news conference on Friday.
“We will leave him for next Wednesday but he will be absolutely fine.”
On Silva’s current injury woes, Pellegrini added: “We will see in the week.”
Pellegrini added that City would be focused on their Aston Villa clash despite the looming European glamour tie against Champions League holders Bayern Munich.
“I am sure nobody is thinking about Bayern Munich,” he added. “We are all thinking about Aston Villa.
“We know it is a strong team playing at home. We need to play a very good game if we want to win and we need to win away now.”
