Michael Owen states his prediction for Man United v Bournemouth
The Liverpool legend is tipping Manchester United to win by two goals or more against Bournemouth on Wednesday night

Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to beat Bournemouth by two goals or more at Old Trafford in the Premier League on Wednesday night.
The Red Devils lost 2-1 to Premier League leaders Manchester City at Old Trafford on Sunday evening to leave Manchester United 11 points adrift of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Manchester United’s winning run came to an end after goals from Manchester City duo David Silva and Nicolas Otamendi either side of half-time at the Theatre of Dreams.
The Citizens set a new record with a 14th successive Premier League win to deal a hammerblow to Manchester United’s hopes of a winning the title for the first time since 2013.
Bournemouth are winless in their last four Premier League outings following three stalemates and a 2-1 loss to Burnley at the Vitality Stadium last month.
Former Liverpool striker Owen believes Manchester United will return to winning ways with a comfortable victory over Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
“Romelu Lukaku has scored five times in four games against Bournemouth in the Premier League, including four in one game back in February, but badly needs a goal in a United shirt with just one in his last nine in the Premier League,” Owen told BetVictor.
“United may have lost their long unbeaten home record to City on Sunday but they played their part in a terrific game. You have to go back to January 2014 for the last time United lost back-to-back home games and the Cherries might be in for a long night.”
Manchester United finished in sixth place in the Premier League table but won the Europa League and the League Cup in Mourinho’s first season in charge at Old Trafford.
The Red Devils signed Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof in the summer transfer window.
