Manchester United are pondering a big-money bid to sign Marcos Alonso from Chelsea FC, say reports

Manchester United are planning a bid to sign Marcos Alonso from Chelsea FC this summer, according to reports in Spain.
The Daily Mirror is quoting unnamed sources in the Spanish media as saying that the Red Devils could be ready to make another move for a Chelsea FC player after they signed Nemanja Matic from the west London side last summer.
Alonso has been a regular fixture in the first team at Stamford Bridge this season and has been earning plenty of praise for his consistent displays for the Blues.
According to the same story, Jose Mourinho wants Manchester United to pay as much as £70m to sign the left-back from the defending Premier League champions this summer.
The report also says that Mourinho is planning a “summer revolution” in the transfer window as he looks to build a team capable of challenging Manchester City’s dominance at the top of the table next season.
Alonso has been in good form for Chelsea FC so far this season, scoring six goals and making one assist in 28 Premier League games.
Meanwhile, Manchester United set up an FA Cup semi-final clash with Tottenham Hotspur by claiming a 2-0 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday at Old Trafford.
